THE CREATION SCRIPTURE · DAY 2 · Age of Cleansing

Genesis 1:6–8

The Expanse Divides the Waters symbol
⁶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. ⁸ And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

THE APPOINTED PATTERN

Temple Article & Feast Day Correspondence

The same sevenfold order is reflected in the articles of the Temple and in the Feasts of the Lord.

COMPLETION · FULLNESS · REST

The Power of Seven

In Scripture, seven repeatedly marks a complete and ordered work. The pattern is established in Creation: six stages of work lead to a seventh stage of completion, blessing, and rest. Seven is not presented as possessing power by itself; its meaning comes from the order God established and repeatedly uses to bring a sequence to fullness.
