THE APPOINTED PATTERN

Temple Article & Feast Day Correspondence

The same sevenfold order is reflected in the articles of the Temple and in the Feasts of the Lord.

DAY 2 · Age of Cleansing · TEMPLE ARTICLE

Brazen Laver

Exodus 30:17–21

The laver holds water for priestly cleansing before service. It echoes the second day’s divided waters and expanse: God establishes purity and order, separating what is cleansed for His service from what remains common.

DAY 2 · Age of Cleansing · FEAST OF THE LORD

Unleavened Bread

Exodus 12:15–20 · 1 Corinthians 5:8

The separation of the waters establishes a clean boundary. Unleavened Bread likewise pictures separation from corruption: the old leaven is removed and a purified people pass through the waters into a new order.
